Experienced kayakers also have convenient access to the Isle of Skye, just a 10-minute drive away.
Our professional Sea Kayak Instructors provide top-quality equipment and expert instruction. Each adventure includes a guided tour, showcasing panoramic views of the Isle of Skye, Applecross, and the Torridon mountains, and visits to secluded coral beaches accessible only by boat. The coastline is rich in wildlife, offering opportunities to see seals, birds, porpoises, and possibly an elusive otter, making the kayaking experience not only educational but also an exploration of Plockton’s natural beauty.

We have a particular reccomendation for our guests which involes a 2hr walk and scramble to Auchtertyre Hill Lochan up the hill opposite Coillemore House. It starts on the paths then requires a scramble up the bank to get to the trig point at the top. The lochan is just before the trig point. Its not massively deep but great for a cool off after the exertion of the hill climb and the views are incredible from an almost negative edge natural pool.
